Hello, My name is Katy Wells. I have been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) for over 25 years as well as a Licenses Professional Counselor (LPC) and am a Registered Nurse (RN) and am licensed in both Arizona and California. I have experience in dealing with mood disorders, women's issues, codependency/relationship issues, trauma and dual diagnosis. I have worked in various types of treatment settings including hospital, partial hospitalization programs, residential and outpatient settings conducting individual, group, couples and family therapy. My counseling style is interactive, empathetic, and client centered. I use a holistic approach in treating each client. I utilize numerous approaches including Cognitive-Behavioral therapy (CBT) Solution Focused, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational interviewing, EMDR and Family Systems. I believe that a supportive therapeutic experience can have the power to change one's perspective and the development of new coping skills can make a significant positive difference in your life.
